About Us

Lawrence Virtual Assistance (LVA) was founded in 2012 by CEO and President Felisha Lawrence with a vision to help professionals and growing businesses operate more efficiently. The brand experienced significant expansion in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when organizations across the country were forced to rapidly shift how they worked, served clients, and sustained operations.

As businesses navigated uncertainty, LVA stepped in to provide practical, innovative operational support that allowed entrepreneurs and teams to stay focused on what mattered most — growth, impact, and sustainability.

LVA is proud to intentionally serve small and Black-owned businesses, offering tailored virtual assistance that reflects the real needs, time constraints, and realities of everyday entrepreneurs. We understand that behind every business is a person balancing responsibilities, goals, and limited capacity. Our role is to step in as a trusted operational partner.

During the pandemic, we supported a surge of individuals transforming side hustles and passions into fully operational businesses — and that work continues today. Whether you’re launching, stabilizing, or scaling, our team meets you where you are and integrates into your schedule and workflow.

Our clients experience structured support, increased efficiency, and big-business results — all on a small-business budget.

Meet The CEO

Felisha Lawrence is a strategist, grant professional, and operations leader known for turning vision into sustainable, community-focused impact. Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Felisha demonstrated a strong academic foundation and commitment to leadership from an early age, consistently advocating for equity and opportunity for underserved communities.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with a minor in Criminal Justice and Pre-Law from James Madison University, where she was deeply involved in student advocacy through organizations such as the NAACP and Black Student Alliance. After leaving a lasting mark on her alma mater, Felisha relocated to Newark, Delaware to continue her education at Wilmington University. In 2021, she earned her Master of Science in Administration of Justice with a concentration in Criminal Behavior — an experience that further shaped her understanding of systems, policy, and the structural factors impacting marginalized communities.

Felisha’s career spans finance, education, housing, and legal-adjacent sectors, where she developed expertise in operations, compliance, and organizational strategy. She is widely recognized for her ability to quickly assimilate into diverse organizational environments, understand how systems function, and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Her work is rooted in strengthening infrastructure — helping teams move from reactive to strategic, and from fragmented to aligned.

Today, her professional focus is centered in nonprofit and cause-driven spaces. Felisha has led and supported grant administration, program management, and grant development initiatives focused on housing stability, economic empowerment, workforce development, and services for vulnerable populations. Her experience includes managing complex grant portfolios, developing funding strategies, building operational frameworks, and helping organizations align resources with measurable community outcomes.

Through Lawrence Virtual Assistance and her consulting work, Felisha partners with nonprofits, small businesses, and community-focused organizations to strengthen systems, secure funding, and scale impact. She is particularly committed to supporting organizations serving Black communities and historically under-resourced populations, ensuring they have the infrastructure and strategy needed to thrive.

A fearless and solutions-driven leader, Felisha believes advocacy and access go hand in hand. She is passionate about empowering others — especially women and leaders of color — to speak up, take up space, and build sustainable pathways for change.
